Alice Bergstrom was delighted to get off the mark for Liverpool in Sunday’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup victory over London Bees.

The Reds ran out 6-0 winners at the Hive on Sunday afternoon, therefore securing their spot in Monday evening’s draw for round five.

New signing Bergstrom came off the bench with around 20 minutes remaining and would score her first two goals for the club to round off a comprehensive result against National League Division One opposition.

She said: “The first one [was] coming in from the left, I usually play on the right but it was nice to get a shot with the right foot, and then the second one I don’t know if I should admit that it was a cross! But those goals count too.

“We knew they were going to sit low but you have to go out and do the work and I think we did that today, so that was nice.”

The Sweden U23 international competed her transfer to Liverpool at the start of the month and made her debut in the goalless draw with London City Lionesses in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Bergstrom added: “I hadn’t played a game for six weeks so that was new, but it was nice to know that you can still play 90 minutes even if you are not at your best, so it was nice to get those minutes in.”
