Reaction | Alexander Isak 'delighted' by Liverpool's win over Brighton
Alexander Isak was left ‘delighted’ by Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Reds’ No.9 scored his sixth Premier League goal of the season with a typically ruthless finish to put his side two goals up by the 21st minute of Sunday’s game at Anfield.
Isak’s strike quickly followed an own goal by Pascal Gross as Andoni Iraola’s side made it four consecutive victories across all competitions.
Liverpool went into the game still awaiting their first home win of the top-flight campaign and Isak told Sky Sports post-match: “For sure, it’s been way too long [waiting for a Premier League victory at Anfield] and I think it’s a great way to do it: against an in-form team, and the way we did it as well, with a clean sheet. So yeah, delighted.”
Bradley Barcola provided the assist for Isak’s predatory finish and the striker added: “We had a lot of chances [in the] first half, where we won the ball and countered, we could have had more goals.
“Bradley did super good in that and for me it was just about being in the right place to finish it off.”
Liverpool now sit fourth in the Premier League table, one point behind Brighton, ahead of next weekend’s meeting with reigning champions Arsenal, who sit six points ahead of the Reds.
When asked if Iraola’s side are clicking into gear, Isak replied: “I hope so.
“I think today especially the performance was really good, really solid against a really good team. The first half is really what we want to be about - intensity, winning balls and countering - so really happy, especially with the first half.”
