“I expect to do much more,” insists Alexander Isak as he aims to produce his best form for Liverpool.
The deadline-day signing from Newcastle United has made 12 appearances for the Reds so far, with his integration to a new team disrupted by an injury sustained in October.
Isak bagged his first Premier League goal at the club last weekend with a precise and clinical finish during the 2-0 win at West Ham United for Arne Slot’s team.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Liverpool’s next fixture - a trip to Leeds United on Saturday evening - Isak stressed his desire to deliver regularly on a personal level while also improving the squad’s results.
“It’s not been easy, of course, individually and also collectively,” said the No.9. “We’ve not had the best results lately and of course I wish more from me as well. I think that’s pretty obvious.
“But [I am] trying to stay positive, we as a team as well. It’s a really good group. Just looking forward and trying to do better as a team.
“I expect to do much more, of course. I always do that; even when I do really well, I want more. So that’s not a problem for me. I’m just trying to stay positive, trying to work to do better. That’s what I’m looking to do.
“Obviously I’m the first one to know, and I know best, when I’m doing good and when I’m not doing good. I don’t need anyone to tell me how I’m doing. That’s not a problem for me.”
Isak added: “As players, or me personally, I don’t really evaluate the season at this time, I do it after the season. There’s still long left so I think there’s still a lot to achieve.
“The best way to do that is just focusing on the moment, the next game and just start winning games.”
