Liverpool v Napoli: Live match blog
Liverpool were beaten 3-0 by Napoli in their penultimate fixture of the 2019-20 pre-season at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
Liverpool 0-3 Napoli
A difficult afternoon in Edinburgh ends as Liverpool are beaten 3-0 by Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Arkadiusz Milik and Amin Younes sees the Reds suffer defeat in their penultimate fixture of the 2019-20 pre-season.
Jürgen Klopp's men now move on to Evian for a training camp and face Lyon in Geneva on Wednesday.
Wilson is denied by another fine save Meret before Gomez then tests the goalkeeper's alterness.
A reactionary save from Meret prevents Hysaj from scoring an own goal.
Van den Berg, Lewis and Duncan are all now on, while Elliot makes his first appearance for the club.
Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Milner depart the pitch.
Two more changes for the Reds as Gomez and Hoever replace Robertson and Alexander-Arnold.
Four changes for Liverpool as Lovren, Lallana, Wilson and Brewster come on to replace Henderson, Matip, Origi and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Goal - Amin Younes
Mignolet does well to save Insigne's curling effort but the rebound finds Younes and the half-time substitutes pokes in to make it 3-0.
Encouraging signs for the Reds as a spell of pressure sees Fabinho test Meret, who stops the Brazilian's powerful effort.
Second half starts...
Napoli kick-off to get the action underway again.
Liverpool 0-2 Napoli
The Reds are two goals down at the break after goals from Lorenzo Insigne and Arkadiusz Milik.
Wijnaldum thrashes the ball beyond Meret and into the roof of the net, but is then flagged for offside.
Goal - Arkadiusz Milik
2-0 to Napoli. Milik prods in after a cross from the left.
Ox in action
Goal - Lorenzo Insigne
1-0 to Napoli. Insigne curls beyond Mignolet to round off a Napoli counter-attack.
Two smart stops from Mignolet to deny Napoli. He deals with a curling shot from Verdi before saving well from Insigne's free-kick.
Liverpool have started well here and Origi went close to breaking the deadlock.
Robertson sent in a beautiful cross that was glanced just wide by the No.27.
We're underway here at Murrayfield!
A musical introduction
We've just been treated to the sound traditional bagpipes ahead of kick-off. Oh, and Jamie Webster playing Allez, Allez, Allez on the roof at Murrayfield.
Both went down a treat.
Elliott likely to feature today
Klopp has confirmed Harvey Elliott is in line to feature at some point during today's match, after his signing was announced on Sunday morning.
