Right-half Maurice Parry made his Liverpool debut early in the 1900-01 season, the year when his club won the First Division championship for the first time.

<p>He didn't play enough games to qualify for a medal then, but made up for that later in the decade when the Reds clinched the Second and First Division titles in successive seasons, 1904-05 and 1905-06.</p><p>Parry wasn't called on for much more than half the fixtures over the next three years and eventually decided to move to Partick Thistle at the end of the 1908-09 campaign.</p>
