Agustin Davila is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield.

The Uruguayan prospect has recently been on a two-week trial at Liverpool after impressing in his homeland.

The young striker is currently playing for Atletico Penarol and boasts plenty of impressive statistics in his short career so far.

Davila has racked up over 100 goals and has been the leading goalscorer playing for the U14s, U15s and U17s.

Liverpool have reportedly been tracking him for the last two years, and following his recent trial, IBTimes UK claim he is open to the idea of joining the Reds on a permanent basis.

During his brief time on Merseyside he managed to score in Liverpool’s 2-0 friendly win over Walsall.

The report suggests the 17-year-old is awaiting an offer from the Reds, but if Liverpool don’t pursue their interest he could turn his attention to potential suitors in Italy and Spain.

It remains to be seen whether Penarol will be open to selling another young player though, having already let Federico Valverde join Real Madrid Castilla in July.

Davila is keen to follow in fellow Uruguayan Luis Suarez’s footsteps by making the move to Liverpool.

Suarez scored 69 goals in 110 Premier League appearances before joining Barcelona in 2014.
