Low suggests Gotze transfer
Liverpool have been given hope in their pursuit of Mario Gotze with Germany coach Joachim Low suggesting he should leave Bayern Munich.
The Reds are hoping to land Gotze this summer with boss Jurgen Klopp keen to work again with the player he nurtured successfully at Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp has been given encouragement that the 23-year-old wants to move to Anfield and he has put off negotiations over a new deal as it appears Bayern are willing to sell the man who scored his country's winning goal in the World Cup final in 2014.
It is thought Klopp hopes to land Gotze, who has struggled for regular first-team action at Bayern this season, for around £20million this summer and Germany boss Low has suggested it might be time for the creative midfielder to move on elsewhere as he looks to develop his career.
"Generally I say sometimes a change can put more forces free - a new environment, new challenges, new stimuli," the Germany boss told Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"Look at the development of Toni Kroos. At Bayern he was great; in Madrid he has made a leap yet again. "Gotze needs a coach who wants to have him in his team."
