Liverpool have reportedly made an offer to sign Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has been in impressive form for the La Liga club this season, scoring twice in 17 appearances.

It is said his displays have forced Malaga into trying to negotiate a new deal for the Spain under-21 international in a desperate attempt to stop him leaving on the cheap.

The Mirror report the Reds are preparing to meet Camacho’s £10m buy-out clause as they look to capitalise and bring him to Anfield this summer.

And Spanish website Fichajes claim that Liverpool have in fact put an offer on the table.

Klopp is hoping to bolster his midfield ranks in the summer so Camacho could prove to be an ideal addition to the squad.

Camacho has also been attracting interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham, but it appears that Klopp’s side are in pole position to land the midfielder.

Camacho is understood to keen on Liverpool after reports in February claimed he jetted to England and toured the club’s training ground.
