Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head with one another this summer to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League and insisted last month that he’d struggle to turn down a move to England.

The 22-year-old’s bagged 16 goals in 37 appearances for Lyon this season and is expected to be included in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for Euro 2016.

And, according to the Mirror, Everton and Liverpool will battle it out for his signature this summer with Lyon rating the forward at around £22m.
