Juventus have joined Liverpool in the hunt for Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze, according to reports in Italy.

The Germany international, who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final, has been hampered by a thigh injury this season.

It has led to the attacking midfielder falling down the pecking order at Bayern Munich and he is reportedly considering a move away.

Liverpool are very keen on Gotze and believe he could be lured to Anfield by Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp worked with the 23-year-old during his time at Dortmund and gave him his professional debut.

However, according to Calciomercato, Juventus have now joined the summer race for Gotze's signature.

The Italian champions are ready to splash the cash at the end of the season and hope they can trump Liverpool's offer.
