Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has met with the agent of Granit Xhaka ahead of a potential transfer move, according to reports.

Klopp’s Liverpool side reached the final of the League Cup with a victory over Stoke on Tuesday night, but it seems the German is already preparing for next season.

According to Bild, the Liverpool boss recently met with Andy Gross, Xhaka’s agent, as he looks to bring the highly-rated 23-year-old to Anfield.

It’s claimed that Klopp is very keen on the midfielder’s aggressive qualities, and sees him as the perfect addition to his squad.

Xhaka is contracted to Borussia Monchengladbach until 2019, but reportedly has a £22.7million release clause that can be activated in 2017.
