By Adam Hawes.

What are your feelings ahead of the new season?

Some apprehension. We have a great starting XI, but I have worries about the Wembley factor. Our home form last season was the bedrock on what our amazing second-place finish was built on. Replicating that at Wembley will be tough. Plus the squad has not improved.

How pleased have you been with your transfer business to date?

Not applicable? No concerns about the players sold. I’m excited about the new crop of academy players getting a chance to shine, but none of them are ready for the big time. But within our financial constraints it's so difficult to sign someone who could improve our starting XI. Poch has got the best out of this young squad... the question is how much better can the existing crop of players get? Hopefully a lot more.

How is your team likely to line up?

Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Wanyama, Dembele, Toby, Jan, Dier, Kieran, Rose, Hugo.

Son will be out for a bit. Not sure if Rose will be fit for the start of the season.

Who will be your most important player?

Kane.

Who is the unsung hero in your squad?

Wanyama.

What do you expect from Liverpool this season?

Another top-four finish.

If you could have one Liverpool player in your team, who would it be?

Coutinho.

What is your biggest wish for the season?

A decent atmosphere at Wembley.
