Ahead of Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Southampton at Anfield this afternoon, club statistician Ged Rea takes us through the pertinent pre-match facts and figures...

The Reds and the Saints played out a 0-0 stalemate in this season's reverse fixture at St Mary's. Not since 1999-00 have both Premier League meetings in a campaign ended in draws.

There has never been a league campaign in which Liverpool have failed to score in both matches against Southampton.

In the Premier League, the clubs have met 35 times - with Liverpool winning 16, Southampton 10 and nine being drawn. At Anfield, the Reds have won nine times, lost three and drawn five.

The next goal scored will be the 100th in Premier League clashes, with 49 of those coming at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho has scored in each of Liverpool's last three home matches. The last player to find the net in four successive Anfield league games is Daniel Sturridge, who did so in March 2014.

The Reds are three goals short of recording 50 at Anfield this season in league and cup.

Emre Can's winner at Watford last Monday was the 10th time this season in league and cup Liverpool have scored between the 40th minute and half-time.

Liverpool have failed to score in only one of the 23 league games they have played since their goalless draw at Southampton in November.
