Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn has been nominated for Tuttosport's prestigious European Golden Boy award.

The 17-year-old made his senior debut for the club as a substitute against Sunderland last November, and then became the youngest goalscorer in Reds history three days later when he netted in the League Cup tie with Leeds United.

Woodburn, who was called up to the full Wales squad last month, has made eight first-team appearances in total this term.

Now he has been included in a list of contenders from across Europe's top leagues for an accolade that was claimed by Bayern Munich's Renato Sanches last year.
