Sadio Mane scored a penalty to help Senegal kick off their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 2-0 victory over Tunisia on Sunday evening.

The Liverpool forward broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the Group B clash in Franceville, Gabon, beating the goalkeeper from 12 yards.

Kara Mbodji doubled Senegal’s lead on the half-hour and there were no further additions to the scoresheet, meaning a winning start for Mane and his country.

The Lions of Teranga face Zimbabwe in their next game at the tournament, on Thursday.
