Jürgen Klopp has today issued a special Christmas message to Liverpool supporters...

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Liverpool supporters around the world a very Merry Christmas.

For us, we will continue our work towards another important match against Stoke City by training at Melwood this morning, so in that respect it is a regular day for us because it is not allowed that we take our eyes off preparing for the game.

But after training, it will of course be home to our families and friends to spend time with them, which is very important for all of us staff and players.

Personally speaking, this will be the second Christmas myself and my family have spent in Liverpool and how welcome we have been made to feel by everybody connected with the club makes us feel very much a part of the ‘LFC Family’.

We have witnessed on many occasions over the last 15 months just what it means to be a part of this special family, most recently on Friday when we visited Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in the city to deliver gifts and spend time with some of the patients.

We all know how important it is for us all to be as one, not just at this time of year but at all times, if we are to achieve our football goals.

So, to all of our fans, I wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas Day and I am already looking forward to seeing some of you again at Anfield on Tuesday.

You’ll Never Walk Alone,
Jürgen
