Jordan Henderson's stunning curler against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month has been named the Premier League Goal of the Month for September.

With 36 minutes gone in the capital, the skipper doubled the visitors' lead when he expertly controlled an attempted clearance 30 yards from goal before arcing the ball beautifully past Thibaut Courtois and into the top corner.

The goal inspired the Reds to an eventual 2-1 win - their second of four victories from as many fixtures in September - and has now been deemed the division's best strike by a combination of a public vote and an expert panel.
