Philippe Coutinho played 83 minutes as Brazil continued their winning run with a 2-0 victory over Venezuela in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night.

The Liverpool man again started for Tite's team as they moved top of the standings in the South American preliminaries with the result away from home.

Gabriel Jesus put the Brazilians ahead in the first half with an impudent lob and their lead was later doubled by Willian shortly after the break.

Coutinho was replaced by Giuliano for the final minutes, while fellow Anfield forward Roberto Firmino was an unused substitute.
