As club captain and assistant manager, Phil Thompson has experienced so many highs during an illustrious career in front of the Kop.
So when asked the question what makes Liverpool's spiritual home of Anfield so special, the Kirkby born legend is sure he knows the answer.
"The people are what make Anfield so special,” said Thompson, speaking in the new LFCTV documentary This Is Anfield.
“The humour, the support, the chants - on those big days when everybody is singing it doesn’t get much better than that.”
