Photos: Lovren and Henderson strike as Liverpool beat Chelsea
Liverpool claimed a well-deserved 2-1 victory at Chelsea tonight thanks to first-half goals from Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson.
Lovren calmly finished an inch-perfect cross from Philippe Coutinho to give the Reds the lead their fast start merited in the 17th minute, before captain Henderson curled in a wonderful long-range effort to double their advantage before the break.
Diego Costa pulled one back for Chelsea midway through the second half, but Jürgen Klopp's side saw the game out to take all three points at Stamford Bridge for the second season in a row.
