By Joe Brine, Bournemouth fan

What are your feelings ahead of the new season?

Excited and nervous – as an AFC Bournemouth fan it still doesn’t feel ‘right’ that we’re in the Premier League and also not just surviving, we’ve played good football and picked up some great wins along the way. I’m nervous that the whole second season syndrome will kick in or someone will come knocking for Eddie Howe, but at the same time we’ve made some great signings, albeit all have ‘potential’ and not experience but that’s Eddie’s way of doing things and we’ve just got to trust him.

Are you satisfied with your club’s transfer business this summer?

I am. I would’ve liked to have seen a ’keeper with a bit more composure and perhaps a centre-half with a few more Premier League games under his belt, but apart from that all of our signings seem inspired and look like they have been meticulously planned – they all seem to fit with the AFCB mould and style of playing. They’re young and hungry to impress so all in all, very satisfied. We took a couple of your lads too (Ibe and Smith) so holding judgement until they’ve played a few games.

How is your team likely to line up?

I saw a pre-season friendly against Valencia and it was the same AFCB way – keep the ball, press with pace and allow creativity. That won’t change while Eddie Howe is gaffer but I just hope the new boys bed in quickly. We did look a little rusty but that’s the nature of pre-season, we’ll be fine come the first weekend of the season. Wilson up top with Ibe and Gradel on the wings, a midfield three from Surman, Cook, Ake and Arter, the four at the back will be Adam Smith, Francis, Cook and Daniels, and Boruc is in goal. We have a very talented squad and the bench will be full of players who could and possibly should be starting.

Have you got the right man in charge?

100 per cent. He is brilliant in every way. A modern-thinking manager tactically, players love him and he is astute and calm in the glare of the media. Top bloke.

What do you expect from Liverpool this season?

I’m expecting Klopp’s way of playing to really shine through. We saw it in glimpses for England at the Euros with Lallana – high press, energy, etc. He’s also made a few more of his own signings and they all seem to be in a similar mould. I’m surprised they’ve spent so much money on Mane and Wijnaldum but they do fit the Klopp player profile so I’m sure they’ll do well.

If you could have one Liverpool player in your team, who would it be?

Adam Lallana. Bournemouth boy and epitomises the way we play.

Top four (in order)?

Manchester United
Manchester City
Chelsea
Arsenal

Relegated?

West Brom, Burnley, Hull

Who will be the surprise package?

Got to say, AFC Bournemouth. We’re still the smallest team in the league by a country mile and if it wasn’t for Leicester’s heroics last season, everyone would be talking about AFCB staying up. Anything close to mid-table is a huge success for us and will allow us to build and grow even more.

What is your one wish for the season?

Callum Wilson stays fit. He was on fire at the start of last season and was in line for an England call-up until his knee gave way. If he can replicate that form and stay fit we have every chance of a top-10 finish and he’ll be Big Sam’s saviour.
