Ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup third round tie against Everton, Liverpool FC would like to remind supporters that flares, smoke bombs and pyrotechnics are illegal and prohibited.

Trained detection dogs will be in use in and around Anfield to detect pyrotechnic devices. The use of such devices breaches ground safety regulations and poses serious risk of injury to fellow fans.

During matches this season at Anfield, there have been a number of arrests following the use of pyrotechnic. Any individual who is found taking these items into Anfield could face prosecution and risk a football banning order.

We would like to remind supporters of the serious consequences they will face surrounding the possession or use of pyrotechnics and any other illegal items in Anfield.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping Anfield a safe and welcoming environment for all fans.
