Jason McAteer to host special book signing at L1 store
Jason McAteer will pay a special visit to the official L1 Liverpool FC club store on Saturday October 8 to sign copies of his brand new autobiography.
'Blood, Sweat & Jason McAteer' is the story of how the boyhood Red lived the dream of playing in front of the famous Kop.
McAteer will be present at the club shop in Liverpool One from 11.30am BST on Saturday morning, where you can purchase the book and he will sign it for you.
Speaking about how he achieved the enviable dream of wearing the famous red shirt, McAteer said: “I had the privilege of putting on that red jersey and it really is everybody’s dream.
“When it came to me signing for Liverpool in 1995 it was a dream I never thought I would fulfil, certainly when I was 20-years-old and working in a pub, but three years later I’m playing in a World Cup and five years later I’m signing for Roy Evans and playing for Liverpool!
“When you put on that red shirt for the first time it’s difficult to describe the feeling as words can’t do justice to how good it is.
“It’s like you are a superhero and you are putting on this magical cape. When you are in that dressing room and you put the red shirt on for the first time the emotion that runs through you and the adrenaline was just incredible.”
