The Hillsborough inquests jury will return its verdicts at 11am BST today after three weeks of considering two years' worth of evidence on the disaster at the court in Warrington.

New inquests into the deaths of 96 supporters at the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest on April 15, 1989 were ordered in December 2012 and commenced in March 2014.

Hundreds of witnesses testified at Birchwood Park regarding the lead-up to the tragedy, the events of the day itself and the aftermath, while pen portraits of each of the victims were read out and their final movements outlined.

In early January, the jury finished hearing evidence from medical experts and forensic pathologists on the circumstances of each individual's death – and the coroner, Sir John Goldring, then presented a summary of proceedings.

The jurors, six women and three men, retired to consider their verdicts on April 6, with 14 general questions to answer as well as questionnaires to complete recording the time and cause of every victim’s death.

Today, the jury will deliver their conclusions on how the 96 supporters lost their lives and attempt to establish the truth surrounding the events of 27 years ago.
