Sheyi Ojo netted twice as Liverpool U23s beat Chinese side Hangzhou Greentown FC 5-1 in a friendly encounter at the Academy on Friday.

The 19-year-old looked sharp as he played for an hour.

Jack Dunn, who recently returned from a loan spell at Morecambe, also scored twice while the summer recruit from Bolton Wanderers Nathan Phillips scored his first goal for the club.

Reflecting on the game, U23s coach Mike Garrity told Liverpoolfc.com: "It was nice to welcome Hangzhou Greentown FC to the Academy and it was a decent game.

"It was good to see Sheyi get another 60 minutes under his belt and nice for Nathan to score his first goal for us.

"It was good to see Jack score twice as well and it was a good exercise for us."

Liverpool U23s: Firth, K Lewis (Brannagan), Maguire (Driscoll-Glennon), Brewitt, Whelan, N Phillips, M Gomes, Brimmer, Lennon, Virtue, Ojo (Dunn).
