Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster has been named in the England U17 squad for their forthcoming European Championship qualifiers in Romania.

In his last two games for the Young Lions, Brewster fired five goals - a hat-trick against Canada and two in an 8-1 rout of Germany.

The London-born forward now turns his attention to representing his country in games against Romania, Austria and Azerbaijan across a six-day period.

Steve Cooper’s team go into the qualifying round off the back of beating Croatia, Greece and Germany to win the Croatia Cup earlier this month.

And they kick off their qualifying campaign for the 2017 European U17 Championships, which will take place in Croatia next May, against Azerbaijan in Buftea on Tuesday, October 25 at 1pm BST.

The Young Lions will then face Romania at the same venue on Thursday, October 27 - also at 1pm - before concluding their group-stage fixtures on Sunday, October 30 against Austria in Voluntari.

A top-two finish will secure a spot in the elite qualifiers, while the five best third-placed teams from the 12 groups will also progress.
