Liverpool U18s had to settle for a point as they were held to a goalless draw away at West Ham United in the end-of-season play-offs on Saturday.

Neil Critchley's side created some fantastic opportunities but, despite hitting the woodwork on several occasions, they could not find the breakthrough.

Reflecting on the draw, Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com: "We created plenty of chances but we just couldn't convert them.

"The boys gave everything but we just lacked the cutting edge in the final third of the field.

"We hit the post twice, and the bar, and it was a frustrating day for us."

Critchley's charges end their season with a trip to Chelsea next Friday night, for a fixture which is taking place at Aldershot Town FC.
