The summer signing from Osasuna was introduced during the second half of the Reds’ pre-season friendly with AS Monaco, which the visitors won 3-2.

Having begun training with his new club earlier this week, Munoz – who was part of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad – got a first 30 minutes under his belt.

“Very happy to debut with Liverpool FC in front of our fans,” Munoz posted on social media after the game.

“Heartfelt thanks for all the support. We will continue to work hard to keep improving and growing.
