NewsReds to showcase LFC Foundation during Champions League campaign
This marks the fourth consecutive season that LFC Foundation will hold a prominent place on the team’s jerseys in Europe, helping spotlight the charity’s work both at home and around the world.
The logo will be seen on the Reds’ shirts when they take on Atletico Madrid in their league-phase opener at Anfield tonight.
The continued support of the players provides a powerful platform for the club’s official charity, helping to raise awareness of the breadth and ambition of its work and the difference it makes to communities in Liverpool and internationally.
Through programmes focused on improving health, championing learning and enhancing employability, LFC Foundation works to tackle social inequalities and raise aspirations, creating opportunities for children, young people and communities to build brighter futures.
Men’s captain Virgil van Dijk said: “It means a lot to us players to represent LFC Foundation when we play our European games. We know how much incredible work they do, both in Liverpool and in communities around the world.
“It’s something we are really proud to be a part of and we hope by wearing the logo on our shirts we can spotlight the real difference they are making.”
LFC Foundation’s logo will also feature on the back of Liverpool FC Women’s shirts throughout the 2026-27 season, too, having first done so in last Sunday’s victory at Charlton Athletic.

Supporters can show their support for LFC Foundation by adding its logo patch to their men’s home, away or third replica shirt for just £5. Available in-store and online, proceeds will help support the Foundation’s work, with a particular focus on its international programmes.
During the 2024-25 season, LFC Foundation supported more than 145,000 people through a wide range of programmes across the Liverpool City Region and internationally.
Its work now spans six regions – the UK, Ireland, Tanzania, Ethiopia, the USA and Japan – with more than 19,230 children and young people reached through its international programmes last year.
One of LFC Foundation’s key international partnerships is with The Nippon Foundation in Japan.
The Leaders of Tomorrow programme is funded by The Nippon Foundation and delivered by LFC Foundation in Kawasaki and Tokyo. It uses sport and education to inspire the next generation and create positive change.
LFC Foundation has an ambition to support 500,000 people every season by 2030 and expand its international reach to more than 10 countries.
