Liverpool were one of three Premier League clubs that sent scouts to admire Andre Trindade's performance in Saturday's Copa Libertadores final, say reports from Brazil.

A defensive midfielder is seen as the last piece of the puzzle to complete Jurgen Klopp's rebuild of his engine room, and Andre has been tipped to be that man ever since discussions took place in summer.

Unfortunately for the Reds this was made impossible before the season's start as Fluminense had their own interests to adhere to - particularly win the Copa Libertadores. That target was achieved on Saturday night, and now it is suggested no-one will stand in the way of the 22-year-old completing a breakout transfer to Europe.
