Paul Doyle sentenced for crimes at LFC victory parade

The 54-year-old received 31 charges after driving his car into supporters in the city centre towards the end of the club’s Premier League title parade.

More than 100 people, including children, were injured as a result of the incident on Water Street.

At the outset of the trial last month, Doyle admitted guilt to all counts of dangerous driving, affray, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, causing GBH with intent, and wounding with intent.

He has been sentenced to 21 years and six months in prison.
