NewsLFC, Kodansha and John Barnes to celebrate World Book Day across primary schools

The event is aimed to help inspire a love of reading among young people across the Liverpool City Region.

Reds legend John Barnes and influencer Yombo will travel with the Kodansha-branded mobile library to visit three LFC Foundation primary schools, meeting students and encouraging them to explore the joy of storytelling and creativity through books.

As part of the tour, 500 books will be donated, with each child receiving a book to take home as part of the celebrations.

The mobile library will end its journey at Anfield, where it will be open to the public, giving families and supporters the opportunity to take part in World Book Day celebrations. LFC's official club mascot Mighty Red will also make an appearance.

Visitors can participate in games with Barnes and Yombo for the chance to win a range of prizes, including signed LFC merchandise, Kodansha merchandise and other exclusive prizes.

Supporters and their families are invited to visit the mobile library at Anfield from 3pm to 5pm on Thursday March 5 to join in the celebrations.

Since the beginning of the partnership, LFC and Kodansha have celebrated World Book Day together through initiatives designed to support young people across the region.

Kodansha also supports LFC Foundation's Creative Works programme, which promotes literacy and creative expression among young people in the Liverpool City Region, reflecting a shared commitment to helping the next generation discover the joy of reading.
