France U21 international Jacquet inherits the jersey from compatriot Ibrahima Konate, who left Anfield following the expiry of his contract at the end of June.
Previous incumbents of Liverpool’s No.5 shirt in the Premier League era include Georginio Wijnaldum, Daniel Agger and Milan Baros.
