Tommy Elphick joined Liverpool FC as first-team coach in the summer of 2026.

Elphick followed Andoni Iraola from AFC Bournemouth to Anfield following the Basque's appointment as head coach.

A former centre-back who captained the Cherries, Elphick was a key member of Iraola's backroom staff during his three successful years in charge at Vitality Stadium.

In the summer of 2021, Elphick had called time on a playing career that began at Brighton & Hove Albion and also included a spell with Aston Villa. Soon after, he began his journey in coaching with Bournemouth's development squad.

Elphick stepped up to work in the Cherries' senior set-up under Gary O'Neil during 2022-23 and remained in post after Iraola's arrival ahead of the 2023-24 season.
