NewsWorld Cup: Victor Munoz a champion as Spain beat Argentina in final
By Chris Shaw
The new Liverpool signing got his hands on the trophy as his nation overcame Argentina 1-0 in the 2026 final.
Munoz was an unused substitute in New Jersey, where Ferran Torres delivered the clinching goal early in the second half of extra-time, after Enzo Fernandez had been sent off.
It meant disappointment for Reds midfielder Alexis Mac Allister; he played the whole game for Argentina, who were denied a second successive triumph in the tournament.
