ReactionWataru Endo on hard-fought Wolves win, Anfield cameo and more
The Reds midfielder was voted Carlsberg Player of the Match by supporters for his vital role as a substitute in the 2-1 win at Anfield in the Premier League.
Endo stepped off the bench in the second half to help see out the game as Arne Slot's men were made to battle for three points in their pursuit of the title.
Liverpool had initially opened up a two-goal advantage in the opening half, netting through Luis Diaz and a Mohamed Salah penalty.
Matheus Cunha, however, cut the visitors' deficit in half with a little more than 20 minutes remaining to make for a testing finish to the contest.
Endo was happy to play his part in the closing stages of what could prove to be a vital result ahead of away fixtures at Aston Villa and Manchester City this week.
"I'm so happy to get three points," he told Liverpoolfc.com post-match. "It was a very tough game in the end but we needed to fight until the end. I think we showed that, so it's a good three points."
He added: "We scored a [third] goal but it was offside and then we got a penalty but it was not allowed and then we conceded. I think the fans helped us a lot. After I came in, the thing I have to do is [to help] not concede again and keep it 2-1. I think I did my job."

On what Slot asked him to do when he came on…
Defensively their No.10 [Cunha] is a good player, so normally I take him man-v-man. Defensively I have to go everywhere and cover him all over the pitch.
On the noise from the crowd when he won a defensive free-kick at the end…
The fans helped us a lot and they created an amazing atmosphere like always. That kind of moment is very important to get us three points. So, I know what I have to do on the pitch and even though I've only got five or 10 minutes, I just try to show myself.
On making a big contribution to the team in different positions…
I always try. I don't mind which position I play because I used to play as a defender as well. The thing I always say is I always want to show myself every time when I have got the chance. [I'll] keep working hard. I'm happy to be a part of this club and I feel like I can still do something for this club.
On another testing week…
We need everyone because the games are coming twice this week. We need everyone not only starting but coming in. It's very important we try to win every game and we just work for it.
