Virgil van Dijk has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week award.

The centre-back was in commanding form as Liverpool claimed a 2-0 victory at Internazionale in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday night.

His display earned him UEFA’s Player of the Match award at San Siro and a spot on the Player of the Week shortlist, where he is up against Mohamed Camara (Salzburg), Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) and Bernardo Silva (Manchester City).
