NewsU17 World Cup: Figueroa features as USA complete group stage

Keyrol Figueroa was a late introduction from the bench as the USA were beaten 3-0 by France at the U17 World Cup on Saturday.

With his team already qualified for the knockout phase, Liverpool forward Figueroa was sent on in the 77th minute at Jakarta International Stadium.

Goals from Joan Tincres (two) and Bastien Meupiyou gave France the victory and top spot in Group E.

Figueroa and the USA will therefore meet Germany in the Round of 16, with that tie to be played on Tuesday November 21.
