Press conferenceTeam news: Beata Olsson injury update and availability of new signings
The striker is likely to miss the Barclays Women's Super League fixture at St Helens Stadium due to injury.
Hannah Silcock, Leanne Kiernan and Sam Kerr remain sidelined for the Reds, but Gemma Bonner and Grace Fisk are available for selection again.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, head coach Gareth Taylor said: "Injury-wise, I think Leanne and Hannah Silcock were pre-Christmas and still a little while away from returning.
"Grace Fisk is back because obviously we didn't have her before the break. Sam Kerr is still going to be a bit longer with the nature of the injury that she has. Gemma is coming back from a slight niggle and obviously the suspension she had as well.
"It's slightly better with those two centre-backs returning. Obviously Fisky is a big part of what we do and how she helps the team.
"Again, we want more options, we want more opportunities to make changes – if that be from the sidelines.
"Beata Olsson has picked up a little knock, which probably rules her out of the game this weekend. It's frustrating because Beata was doing really well pre-Christmas.
"Again, it limits our options at the top end of the pitch a little bit. But, again, we're working hard to bring the players in."
January arrivals Alice Bergstrom and Jennifer Falk are eligible to feature in the 2.30pm GMT kick-off.
"Yes, they are [eligible]," Taylor said of the pair. "All clear."
