NewsSimon Mignolet announces retirement from football

The Belgian will hang up his gloves at the end of the 2025-26 season, it was confirmed today.
Mignolet, 38, has been with Club Brugge since 2019, winning four league titles and a Belgian cup there to date.
He made the move to Brugge after a six-year spell at Liverpool in which he played 204 matches.
Signed from Sunderland in 2013, the ’keeper recorded 65 clean sheets for the Reds and was part of the Champions League-winning squad in Madrid in 2019.
Mignolet began his professional career with Sint-Truidense before linking up with Sunderland in 2010.
He earned 35 senior international caps for Belgium.
