Sam Kerr is set for a spell on the sidelines and will begin rehabilitation after sustaining a back injury.

The Liverpool FC Women midfielder was absent from Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Sheffield United in the Subway Women's League Cup.

Kerr will now remain at the AXA Melwood Training Centre over the upcoming international break instead of linking up with Scotland.

The Reds next return to Barclays Women's Super League action on Saturday December 6, when they travel to face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in a 12pm GMT kick-off.
