The Reds’ second match on their return to the Barclays Women’s Super League was a Merseyside derby under the lights in L4.

The visitors took the spoils with a 3-0 result on the night, but Matt Beard’s team were given huge support as the attendance surpassed that of the same fixture in 2019.
