‘An evening with Jürgen Klopp and LFC Legends’ took place inside the stadium’s Main Stand on Thursday night as part of the build-up to the annual fixture.

A squad of former Reds – including the likes of Peter Crouch, Steven Gerrard and Thiago Alcantara – are set to face Borussia Dortmund Legends.

An honorary ambassador for LFC Foundation, Klopp will be part of the management team for the game alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and John Aldridge.

At Thursday’s event, Klopp took to the stage for a live interview, while guests were also treated to tales from other ex-players – such as Natasha Dowie, Vladimir Smicer and Sander Westerveld.

The Lord Mayor of Liverpool was also present, with the event’s proceeds supporting LFC Foundation and its aims to tackle social inequalities, as well as the Lord Mayor’s Charity, which funds apprenticeships and supports literary initiatives across the region.
