Stefan Bajcetic

Bajcetic is yet to play in the 2025-26 season due to injury.

Arne Slot on January 30: "He's not training yet. So, he constantly gets close to the team and then he has a little setback and then comes close and has a little setback, so we're hoping and expecting to have him very soon, again.

"But at that moment of time he trains with us again, then he's been out for six, seven, eight months [with] no first-team training. So, as much as I'd like to have him back, we have to manage the expectations with him as well."

Alisson Becker

The goalkeeper missed the Premier League defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion and will be sidelined for the Emirates FA Cup trip to Manchester City.

Slot on April 1: "Alisson will be out for a bit longer."

Conor Bradley

The Northern Irishman is set to be out for the rest of the season after sustaining a significant knee injury against Arsenal on January 8.

He underwent surgery for the issue in the days after and then began a spell of rehabilitation.

Bradley on January 14: "A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now. It won't be for a little while but I already can't wait to get back playing for Liverpool FC and Northern Ireland."

Federico Chiesa

Chiesa withdrew from the Italy squad for their March fixtures but is expected to be available for the visit to Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Slot on April 1: "Federico indeed came back from the national team, where he wasn't able to play. But he trained with us today, so he will train with us tomorrow again and will be available for the game on the weekend."

Hugo Ekitike

Ekitike came off early in the first half of the loss at Brighton following a collision but then played in France's friendlies with Brazil and Colombia.

Wataru Endo

Endo was stretchered off in the second half of the win at Sunderland on February 11 with a foot injury.

Slot on February 19: "Wata will be out for a long time. We don't know exactly how long - but long."

Jeremie Frimpong

Frimpong was taken off 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute in the Netherlands' friendly with Ecuador on March 31.

Slot on April 1: "Jeremie, the national team doctor of the Netherlands tells us that it was precautionary that they took him out. But he will have a scan later today to see."

Alexander Isak

Isak has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury that included a fibula fracture on December 22. He is, however, set to make a return to team training this Thursday.

Slot on April 1: "I think Alex is in a really good place because Sweden qualified for the World Cup yesterday evening and apart from that he's going to train with the group again for the first time tomorrow.

"If you've worked so hard for three, four months or something like that and then to return to team training, that's for everyone very nice. So Alex is, in that sense, in a good place."

Giovanni Leoni

The defender is recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear suffered at the end of his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup in September 2025.

He is not expected to play again in 2025-26.

Slot on September 26: "He is not in a good place, of course, because he tore his ACL and it means he will be out for a year. Being so young and coming to a new country and playing so well in your first game... it's very hard to take the positive side.

"There's never a positive side - but you always try to look at a positive side and that is that he is still so young, so he has so many years still to go after he recovers from a terrible injury like that."

Mohamed Salah

It is hoped the attacker will return this weekend from the muscle injury he sustained in the Champions League victory over Galatasaray on March 18.

Slot on April 1: "Close, very close [to a return]. Another example of what makes him special because the moment he got injured there was a bit of a situation where they thought, 'I don't think he's available for City.' But Mo looked at me and said, 'I think I will be available for City.'

"He just does so much for his body for such a long time that he recovers so fast. So, he will train with the team again tomorrow and if everything works well then he's available to be with us at City."
