By Chris Shaw
The Egyptian hit the landmark figure with an emphatic curling effort to complete the scoring as Liverpool beat Galatasaray 4-0 in the last 16 at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Salah is the first African player to net a half-century in the competition and one of only a dozen players in history to have done so.
Forty-seven of his strikes in the Champions League (excluding qualifiers) have been for the Reds, alongside one and two for previous clubs AS Roma and Basel respectively.
At the time of writing, Salah’s total of 47 goals for Liverpool in the Champions League is the seventh-highest for a player at one club.
