The Liverpool forward marked the occasion of his century with a goal, providing the Pharaohs’ third from close range in a 4-0 defeat of Botswana in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.

Salah has netted more than 50 times overall for his country since debuting at senior level 13 years ago this month.

He now returns to club duty ahead of the Reds’ Anfield clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, having scored in each of Arne Slot’s team’s opening three games of the campaign.
