PreviewMilos Kerkez interview: Why Liverpool are positive and full of energy before Burnley clash
Milos Kerkez can feel the positivity and energy within Liverpool’s squad ahead of Saturday’s game against Burnley.
The Reds go into the 3pm GMT kick-off seeking to extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches across all competitions.
In the Premier League, Arne Slot’s side have not lost in their last nine outings and Kerkez told Liverpoolfc.com: “We are positive, the energy is really high and I think that’s important.
“Eleven games unbeaten so we have to continue. We want to win more so I hope it goes like that.”
The Hungary left-back has started six of his team’s last seven top-flight games and supporters voted him Carlsberg Player of the Match for his performance in the goalless draw at Arsenal last time out.
Kerkez added: “I’m really happy obviously and I’m happy that I am playing. I really want to give 100 per cent for the club and for the coach, for playing me and putting me on the pitch, and of course for the players that I am with.
“So, every time I go out I want to give 100 per cent and I’m really happy that I’m playing. Like I say always, I don’t want injuries to come around me and I want to stay fit for as long as possible. I really enjoy to play so I hope it goes like that.”
Liverpool required a stoppage-time penalty by Mohamed Salah to overcome a stubborn Burnley side 1-0 at Turf Moor earlier this season and Kerkez is anticipating Scott Parker’s side to again prove difficult opponents this weekend.

Watch on YouTubeThe No.6 detailed: “It’s not really always easy to break when someone is playing in a low block because there is not much space.
“You have space in the pockets but you always have to be quick with one-twos and obviously shoot from distance, and put crosses in. So we’ve been working a lot in this week for that and I think it’s going to help us, for sure, for tomorrow’s game and hopefully we are going to take three points at home.
“For sure, our fans give us really, as I always say, unbelievable fuel and you just don’t feel tired too much when you play in Anfield.
“We have tough games coming up and I feel that in the moment we are in, we can be pretty positive about these games and I’m sure it’s going to be alright.”
