Spanish publication Marca have reported that Reds-linked Rodrygo became unhappy throughout the 2024/25 season.
Despite featuring in 50 matches across all competitions, with 38 starts, his role has been altered due to the high-profile acquisitions of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, leading to tactical adjustments by then-manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Brazilian has since struggled for game time under new Real boss, former Liverpool player Xabi Alonso, at the recent Club World Cup where he was left on the bench for half of their matches.
