Liverpool are "seriously interested" in signing Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window as his contract talks continue to stall.

Mount's current deal at Stamford Bridge runs out in 2024 and despite lengthy negotiations over fresh terms, and despite both the player and the club wanting a positive resolution, an agreement is nowhere near close.

Chelsea are keen on securing the 24-year-old for a further seven years - something he is not said to be happy about, according to football.london.
