The 24-year-old striker becomes the latest addition of the summer for the Reds, and the first to join the ranks since the arrival of new head coach Gareth Taylor last month.
Olsson put pen to paper on a deal at the AXA Melwood Training Centre today, following the completion of her medical on Merseyside.
“It means so much to me,” she told Liverpoolfc.com. “This is such an historic football club and the best league in the world, and I think it’s a great step for me and I’m so excited to be here.
“I think it’s going to be really cool, and I’ve always wanted to play in England, and to play for a club like Liverpool is just a dream.
“So, for me this means the world and I’m very excited to get started and to see what I can contribute.”
A Sweden U23 international, Olsson has netted nine goals in 15 games already this term and joins having picked up a wealth of experience throughout her career so far.
She began at home in Sweden with Enkoping and Uppsala before making the move to the USA to attend university, first representing Florida Gators and then switching to the Florida State Seminoles.
Olsson enjoyed a fruitful spell with the latter, helping the Seminoles win back-to-back ACC conference titles and two national championships.
In January 2024, she made the move back to her homeland with AIK in the Damallsvenskan – Sweden’s top division – ahead of a transfer to Kristianstads late last year.
Olsson will wear the No.11 shirt for Liverpool throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
